The Howling Sea...will claim the steps I sowed

The sea...I have found nothing more mystical and haunting as this. It is a force of nature to be reckoned with and on this day my friends ,the angry gods of the deep sea did show me just that. I have never really feared it in any way, but admired it for its calmness and ferociousness. It's thunderous waves, it's weeping winds and shifting sand.
Like most of us dreamers, we think of sea shanties , sailors and mermaids in the most romantic of ways. A great fascination mostly with these beautiful sirens luring men to their death. In part, I find that enticing enough, but which ever the reason, it's force has always lured people to the salty shores.I was out with a dear friend of mine and we were talking about making films and art in ode to these mermaids/sirens. My Scott has long since wanted to make a film of this nature, so between his ideas and my own I figured an Illustrated story would be the best way to go, at least for me. Sirens calling out sailors to their death, so sweet and pretty, soothing and calm  like the sea, their voices sing to them from a distance, enticing every bone in their body. Like the ferocious ocean, they turn and twist and take you into their arms. Their choice of weapon? Strangulation by way of a string of pearls of course! What better way to end their meet, then using the very same thing they have taken and stolen from them? All the jewels of the ocean, being claimed back , their motive you can say. I think this would make for a fun story, dark and beautiful...like our ocean. I had posted before, how I myself almost got swallowed by these gentle waters, not to mention I was standing by the edge of these rocks. The waves are just about starting to break at this point. I have other pictures where they came completely over my entire body. They send chills throughout me when I see them. I was lucky that day, I didn't get taken in.I only made out with  a deep open cut on my left knee and scratches all over my legs. One waved pushed me forward and I was left at the mercy of the rocks below me. Fortunately that's all I faced that day, a lesson well learned for me indeed. Below I am trying to show my battle scar, but you can't really see how bad it was, which is a good thing. It was not pretty. I'm left with a reminder of it's true force, but nevertheless, still I will roam these salty seas for as long as they and I are here.

No where I would rather be than on the coast, even during the ocean's most violent whims.
